Welcome to Crime Stop. By accessing or using our platform, mobile application, or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Crime Stop is a community safety platform that allows users to:

• Report crime incidents with location, type, severity, and description
• View incidents on an interactive map
• Receive safety alerts for their area
• Access crime analytics and statistics
• Manage community safety data (for administrators)

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and not share account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated incident reports
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or intimidate individuals
• Impersonate any person or entity, including law enforcement
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without written consent
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

5. User-Submitted Content

When you submit incident reports or other content ("User Content"), you grant Crime Stop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

You represent that your User Content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate any third-party rights. Crime Stop does not endorse or verify the accuracy of user-submitted reports.

6. Subscription Plans and Billing

Crime Stop offers the following plans:

• Free: View map, browse reports, submit up to 5 reports per month
• Pro ($9.99/month): Unlimited reports, advanced analytics, email alerts
• Enterprise ($29.99/month): Team accounts, API access, custom branding

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Crime Stop and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. CRIME STOP DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF INCIDENT REPORTS OR SAFETY DATA. THE PLATFORM IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR CALLING 911 OR CONTACTING LAW ENFORCEMENT IN AN EMERGENCY.

In an emergency, always call 911 or your local emergency services number immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crime Stop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on any information displayed on the platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Crime Stop harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with American Arbitration Association rules.
