We believe every community deserves to feel safe. Our platform gives residents and law enforcement the tools to work together toward that goal.
Crime Stop was founded with a single purpose: to make communities safer through information sharing and technology. Traditional crime reporting is slow, fragmented, and rarely reaches the people who need it most. We built a platform that changes that.
By giving residents a simple way to report incidents and visualize crime patterns on an interactive map, we help neighborhoods stay informed, work with local law enforcement, and take proactive steps toward safety.
Today, Crime Stop serves thousands of users across 100 major US cities, processing hundreds of incidents daily and delivering real-time safety insights to communities that need them most.
Crime Stop started in 2023 when our founders recognized a gap: residents had no easy way to share safety concerns with each other or track local crime trends. Police blotters were hard to find and harder to understand. Neighborhood apps were scattered and unreliable.
We built Crime Stop to fill that gap — starting with a simple incident reporting tool and an interactive crime map. As more communities adopted the platform, we expanded to include detailed analytics, severity tracking, crime type categorization, and a comprehensive admin dashboard for community managers and law enforcement partners.
What began as a tool for one neighborhood is now a platform trusted by communities across the United States.
Every decision we make starts with the question: does this make communities safer and more connected?
We protect user data with industry-leading security practices and never sell personal information to third parties.
We believe in open, accurate data. Crime statistics on our platform are unbiased and based on user-submitted reports.
Crime doesn't wait, and neither do we. Our platform delivers instant alerts and live updates as incidents are reported.
We are a dedicated team of engineers, community advocates, and data scientists united by a shared mission to make neighborhoods safer.
